I started in 10 minute segments. I can do just about anything for 10 minutes. 10 minutes grew to 15. And then 20. I currently try to get at least 40 minutes of good exercise. Some days are better than others. But doing this every day until you have a habit of it becomes the key to moving forward…
It didn’t matter it was a YouTube video. Or me creating my own set of squats and rows in TRX. It mattered it was me, doing something slightly unpleasant. Because at the beginning, it was unpleasant – awkward, sweaty, challenging, slightly painful..
It didn’t get easier, but I got stronger. Instead of doing it only because I had to, I actually started to look forward to seeing how I would, if I could do it without stopping, and I felt like I was so powerful afterward… Exhausted, but powerful.
You can do hard things. Hard things aren’t impossible things. They just push you to step outside your comfort areas.
One day, the hard things become easier. That’s when you’ve won the challenge. Come get bendy with me. Explore what your hard things are.
